Launched in 2021 as a collaboration between the Wyoming Hunger Initiative and UW Extension, this initiative combats food insecurity by providing high-quality proteins like pork to local organizations such as food pantries, senior centers, and youth clubs. By purchasing unsold secondary 4-H projects and donating the processed meat to chosen anti-hunger groups, the program not only supports young participants financially but also educates them on their community’s offerings.
